Tágides opened in 2013 in Povos, Vila Franca de Xira. From day one our way of working has been simple: listen, explain and care without rushing.
Our story
Tágides grew out of Dr Ilkenia Tavares' dream of a clinic where, besides treating patients, she could give young dentists an opportunity and share her values and experience with them.
When we opened, we decided to work to a high standard and at a price the community around us could afford. We have grown a great deal since, but the mission is the same.
Today we look after more than 5,000 patients. Many have been with us from the start.
How we work
- An hour for every appointment
- We do not do 15-minute appointments. That leaves time to hear what worries you and explain every step.
- No advance payment
- You pay for treatment as it is done and can always review the plan. We do not suggest financing beyond your means.
- No insurance agreements
- This lets us choose the most suitable materials for each case and give each appointment the time it needs. Our prices are fair and, for many treatments, close to what you would pay with insurance.
- Dental vouchers
- We have been part of the National Oral Health Programme since our first year.
- A supervised team
- The work of our younger dentists is closely followed by the clinical director, who has more than 30 years in the profession.
- No pressure
- If you are happy with your smile, we will help you keep it healthy. We will never talk you into treatment you do not need.
